1. Scope of application
The following General Terms and Conditions shall govern the contractual relationship between the participant/exhibitor
at the symposium and MKVS GbR. The performance of the contractual relationship shall be subject exclusively to the
following Terms and Conditions. We do not recognise any divergent terms and conditions of the
participant’s/exhibitor’s unless we have agreed to those general terms and conditions by way of exception.
2. Registration/Confirmation of registration
It is possible to register via the online shop, by letter, fax or email. If you are not using the forms we have
prepared or the shopping basket on our website, the name of the participant/exhibitor and the complete address of the
company or billing address with telephone and fax number and email address must be provided. The registration is
binding and will be booked by us in the order in which it is received. If the event should already be fully booked, we
shall inform you at once; otherwise, we shall send you confirmation of the registration. The registration only becomes
legally binding with the written confirmation from MKVS GbR.
3. Services
The participation fee is shown per person and scheduled event, net of statutory value-added tax. The participation
fees shown in each case include detailed conference documentation and all other services listed in the confirmation of
registration.
The fee per table top includes 1 participant (see above terms) per scheduled event. The other services correspond to
the details provided in the confirmation of registration.
MKVS GbR reserves the right, for cogent reasons (e.g. changes in the law), to make methodological and organisational
changes or amendments to the content before or during the event provided they do not substantially alter the benefit
of the event announced for the participant. We are also entitled to replace any of the planned speakers in the event
of their being prevented from attending (e.g. by illness, accident) by other persons equally qualified to speak on the
subject announced. In the event of any disturbances to the services, MKVS GbR undertakes to do everything reasonably
possible that would help to eliminate or limit the disturbance. If it is impossible to hold the event because of force
majeure, the inability of a speaker to attend, disturbances at the event location or because there would be too few
participants, the participant will be informed without delay. Cancellation because of too few participants will be
announced no later than 1 week before the event. The participation fee will be reimbursed in such cases. No claims
will be entertained for reimbursement of travelling and accommodation expenses or for lost work, unless such expenses
are incurred because of grossly negligent or deliberate conduct on the part of MKVS GbR.
4. Terms of payment
The participation/exhibitor’s fee plus value-added tax shall be payable after receipt of the invoice. The statutory
provisions shall apply with regard to the occurrence of default and the interest on default. Any charges to be
reimbursed shall be disbursed after the end of the
symposium.
5. Cancellation/Booking changes
Cancellation must be made in writing to MKVS GbR and shall require confirmation by MKVS GbR. In the event of cancellation no later than 56 days before the beginning of the symposium, the fee shall be reimbursed in full. In the event of cancellation no later than 28 days before the beginning of the symposium, 50 % of the fee shall be reimbursed. In the event of a later cancellation or failure to attend on the day of the event, the entire fee shall be payable.
MKVS GbR will be happy to accept an alternative participant/exhibitor at no extra charge.
6. Liability
MKVS GbR does not assume any liability for the loss of or damage to any personal items brought. We therefore request
you not to leave any valuables or important materials in the conference room during the breaks.
7. Copyright
The conference documentation handed out in the course of the symposium is protected by copyright. Duplication,
distribution or any other
use of the conference documentation - even in the form of extracts - is only permitted with the express written
consent of MKVS GbR and
the speakers concerned.
8. Data protection
MKVS GbR will protect your personal data and will take appropriate steps to secure them. MKVS GbR will treat the data
provided by the
participant confidentially and will only use them in accordance with the provisions of data protection law. Personal
data are all the data
which are stored in connection with your name and which are processed and used for the purpose of rendering the
service and invoicing.
Unless stipulated otherwise by you, we shall inform you or contact you regarding our future events. You may withdraw
your consent at any
time. By participating in the event, you expressly consent to the publication of any photos, film recordings and video
streams of your
person that are captured in the course of the event. This also applies to printed products, videos, DVDs and the
internet.
9. Applicable law, legal venue and place of performance
The legal relationship between the contracting parties under or in connection with the contract shall be subject to
the laws of the Federal
Republic of Germany. The legal venue for any disputes arising under or in connection with this contract shall be
Munich.
